Services for Specific Systems

Fire Extinguishers
Monthly Inspections:
- NFPA requires inspection of your extinguisher every month
- Visual inspection
- Clean the unit
- Check pull pin
- Provide documentation of the inspection
Annual Maintenance:
Inspection of each of your fire extinguishers is often required by NFPA for the local AHJ, depending on jurisdiction and type of unit. Inspection may need to be performed by a licensed professional. Internal maintenance and hydrostatic testing for store-pressured extinguishers are very common and they often require internal maintenance every 6 years and hydrostatic testing every 12 years. Other types of extinguishers may vary in their internal examination and testing intervals.

How the Service Works:
- Visual inspection to cover gauges, dates, cylinder, etc.
- Physical inspection to cover weight, hose, seals, etc.
- Verify and tag unit which will have a location and date
Fire Sprinkler Systems

Emergency Service:
On call to diagnose and repair system problems

Quarterly Inspections:
Depending on your sprinkler system, NFPA or your local AHJ may require quarterly sprinkler service

Yearly Inspections:
Every year your Fire State Protection LLC technician will help inspect your hanger, pipe fittings, sprinkler head, value supervisory alarm devices, information signage, hydraulic nameplate, mechanical devices, and more

Emergency and Exit Lights
Monthly Inspections:
- According to NFPA 101, your emergency lights and exit signs must undergo a 30-second test every month
- Your Fire State Protection LLC technician will not only complete this test but also provide recordkeeping for the fire department and insurers
Yearly Inspections:
- NFPA 101 also requires that the emergency lights simulate being on battery backup for 90 minutes every year
- Your Fire State Protection LLC technician will take care of this for you and also will visually and physically inspect your unit and provide detailed recordkeeping
Kitchen and Paint Booth Suppression Systems
Emergency Service:
- On call to diagnose and repair system problems so you can be confident you will have service when you need it
Semiannual:
- Every 6 months your Fire State Protection LLC technician with help inspect your fire suppression system
- Examine your systems, including detectors, gas containers, releasing panels, and manual pull stations
